Ozone Therapy (O3)

Ozone is an antimicrobial agent that kills bacteria, fungi, and viruses on contact. It also stimulates our own body’s response to healing. It is produced in-office using a medical-grade ozone generator. Ozone therapy uses activated oxygen molecules to treat a wide range of dental issues and can be applied in its gaseous form directly to teeth and gums or bubbled through water and different plant oils as a rinse.

Ozone therapy can:

  • Kill periodontal bacteria by flushing ozonated water below the gumline

  • Kill decay-causing bacteria on contact

  • Reduce and eliminate tooth sensitivity and harden weakened tooth structure

  • Reduce post-op discomfort

  • Create a truly sterile, bacteria-free environment during root canal therapy to prevent reinfection of the canals

  • Speed up healing after dental procedures

  • Treat halitosis, canker sores, cold sores, and other oral maladies

  • Remineralize existing tooth structure. This “rebuilt” tooth structure is more resistant to decay than the original tooth structure.
